INSTALLING RECLAIMED WOOD PLANKS ON WALL
Written and video instructions for installing reclaimed wood planks on wall.
You don't need construction skills or experience for doing a wood accent wall! Wood wall panels are easy to install by following the simple steps below. Also, we include a written installation instruction in each reclaimed wood panel box.

How-to steps
STEP 1
СALCULATING THE AMOUNT OF WOOD YOU NEED TO DO A WOOD ACCENT WALL
Before you start your installing wall planks, figure out how many reclaimed barn wood boxes you’ll need.How? To calculate the area, measure the wall’s length (L) and width (W), multiply (L) by (W), and divide the result by the square footage within one package.At this point, the first part is nearly complete; place your order with an additional 5% to account for cutting and resizing.
STEP 2
RECLAIMED WOOD ACCLIMATIZATION
Take the reclaimed wood panels out of the box as soon as it arrives and leave it in your room for at least two days to acclimate. Why? The boards must adjust to the humidity and temperature of your environment to avoid warping after mounting.
STEP 3
AREA PREPARATION
Clear the room to create enough space to get working. Protruding objects should be removed, the wall cleaned, and the frames of outlets and switches should be removed if necessary. Additionally, the wall or ceiling can be painted any color or the color of the wood, but this is optional because all knots and fractures are sealed with black tape prior to installation.
STEP 4
CREATE A REFERENCE LINE
Draw a straight horizontal reference line on the wall with a level; this is the starting point for the layout. In addition, we recommend that you begin the installation of reclaimed wood on wall from the top or bottom of your wall.
STEP 5
APPLY ADHESIVE TO THE CONSTRUCTION
To begin mounting barn wood on wall, apply glue or another adhesive to the back of the first panel (we recommend liquid nails) and press it aganist the wall straight along the reference line.
STEP 6
INSTALLING RECLAIMED WOOD PLANKS ON WALL WITH NAILS
It is also possible to install the panels with nails— here, one panel can be installed onto the intended surface using either a nail gun or a hammer and 6 nails. A liquid adhesive is not required for this process.
STEP 7
CUT THE PANELS
To finish the row, measure the remaining distance and cut a similar sized panel with a hacksaw, jigsaw, or trimming saw. The remaining piece of the cut wood panel can be used to start the next row.
STEP 8
REPEAT UNTIL COMPLETED
