Our company has produced barn wood for more than 7 years. We are the leaders in the industry of processing and selling old wood. The company has successfully completed over 270 projects with the use of planks. Our retro-wood is an elite finishing material that is loved by many not only in Russia, but also in Europe and the United States. We thoroughly select and carefully prices each plank while preserving its identity and beauty.
The barn wood meets modern design trends, it fits into the interior in the style of Industrial, Loft, Retro, Vintage, Scandinavian and others. It is an eco-friendly, safe, strong material with a unique natural texture. It is used to cover walls and ceilings, to create pieces of furniture, and also to collect wooden panels from it, that are worthy of a place in modern art galleries.
The homeland of our planks is the Siberian region of Russia – the land of freedom and harsh weather conditions. Abrupt temperature changes from winter frosts to summer heat formed a diverse palette of shades of the old wood. The Siberian wood was hardened in the cold and tanned in the sun, so its color scheme varies from gray to warm cognac. We dismantle old farm buildings of the 20th century, thereby freeing the expanses of Siberia from emergency buildings and receiving the most valuable material. We select only the best planks. Material with a destroyed structure (rotted, decayed) is not allowed before processing. Insufficiently darkened boards – as a rule, these are “young” specimens (up to 35 years old) – are not used, because after handling they will become white, outwardly no different from fresh wood.
After collecting the raw materials, the planks is sent for processing to the production department in the Russian cities Kirov or Ekaterinburg. The place for production was chosen by us for a reason – this is the center of Russia, where the best masters of wooden architecture have worked for centuries.
Our task in the processing of the product is to underline the beauty created by nature. We reveal the unique pattern of wood, honed by hot summer winds and Siberian snowstorms, bring the texture to the fore, carefully cleaning the top layer with metal brushes.
Our retro wood is a work of art, created exclusively by the forces of nature. Visual and tactile sensations, smell, warmth, reliability, naturalness, originality, which gives a mature wood in the interior are the main value and source of inspiration for us.
